Assistant Vice President - Technical

  • Dealing proactively with the day to day business inquiries.
  • Submitting & negotiating quotation with the Client & Broker, in coordination with the Sales & Development team.
  • Advising client on the Risk Improvement & Risk Management.
  • Provide technical guidance on business evaluation and acceptance in accordance with the reinsurance program and acceptable business standards and ensure maintenance of sound underwriting standards and efficient process flows.
  • Manage the renewal cycle within the agreed turnaround time to ensure the achievement of the required monthly business retention ratio
  • Contribute to the development and review of the business plan and implement strategic objectives of the department to ensure continued business growth and profitability
  • Provide strong leadership by developing an effective and motivated team and ensure that training program is implemented to enable delivery of superior service to customers
  • Implement the company credit control policy and liaise with the credit control team to ensure prompt payment of premiums by intermediaries and direct clients
  • Control to the risk management function of the department to improve the performance of the portfolio and manage the overall loss ratio to the acceptable levels.
  • Ensure that underwriting and business development function is carried out in compliance with the insurance regulatory and industry requirements and standards
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree from Recognized University
  • Professional qualification in Insurance. eg: ACII, AIII, FCII, FIII etc. is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8 years technical experience on all classes of general insurance gained in a reputable organization
  • Excellent Written and Oral Communication Skills
  • Demonstrated ability in Business Development and Negotiation Skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a Team Environment
  • Thorough knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Computer Literacy
  • Ability to interact at all levels
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Capability of Interacting and maintaining close relationship with existing and potential Clients & Brokers.
  • Ability to lead a team of Technical staff & interact with Head Office Technical team.

Chartered Claims Loss Adjuster

  • Providing advice to claimants about procedures/progress;
  • Inspecting claim scenes following fire/flood damage, theft etc.;
  • Assessing extent of physical damage/loss;
  • Making arrangements with property owners to ensure there is no further loss or damage;
  • Interviewing claimants/employees/security staff for evidence about possible causes;
  • Obtaining valuation certificates and reports from the police/fire service;
  • Liaising closely with the insurance company;
  • Negotiating settlement payments;
  • Writing post-investigation reports;
  • Making detailed investigations into suspected fraudulent claims.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 8-10 years of experience as Chartered Claims Loss Adjustor.
  • University degree is a must plus holder of professional qualifications e.g. ACII, CII or Dip CII.
  • Extensive knowledge of general Insurance products and their relevance to various. Industries/organizations.
  • Good command in English.
  • Computer literate.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Focus on Strategy and Business Continuity planning.

Account Executive

  • Develops and maintains a strong relationship with the client.
  • Co-ordinates with brokers to insure the needs of the clients are met.
  • Agrees payment terms with clients and ensure that these are complied with.
  • Agrees clients service requirements.
  • Maximizes cross selling opportunities where possible.
  • Prepares a prospect list of potential new clients if required.
  • Identifies and develops prospective clients.
  • Maintain records of prospective client development.
  • Ensures the creation and distribution of the new business proposal.
  • Promotes the Company’s business offer new business and proposals.
Required Skills & Experience:
  • 5 years of experience.
  • University degree is a must or holder of professional qualifications e.g. CII or Dip CII.
  • Good command in English.
  • Computer literate.
  • Preferably bilingual.
  • Actively seeks to understand the issues and concerns of the client and anticipates their need and requirements.
  • Proactively identifies trends and issues which effect clients.


  • Obtains and finalizes quote and terms with insurers.
  • Markets the slip / endorsement ensuring content complies with internal operational and external market standards.
  • Finalizes wordings with the market.
  • Obtains terms in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Places business in the Market in order to achieve Contract Certainty.
  • Have a good working knowledge of the insurance products available, insurance trading conditions, Company’s products and services.
  • Handles all technical queries effectively.
  • Establish a good working relationship with the Account Executive.
  • Maintains compliance client notes /underwriter contact record sheets.
  • Highlights the specifics if policy warranties, terms and conditions.
  • Contributes to successful audit score and achievement of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Demonstrates Regulatory awareness.
  • Researching policies from a number of insurance companies.
  • Agree payment terms with clients.
  • Agree service requirements with clients.
  • Arranging insurance cover for clients.
